At Rockin' Reunion, Brie presented us with Jaap Roepius from snack counter Japie, who founded the Rock 'n' Roll association "Flaming Star" in the early 1980s, and Kees van Bemmel, who started at De Wild Cats in 1982 and has since never left the Rotterdam Rock 'n' Roll scene.
On a more than warm Sunday with temperatures well above 30 degrees, the Blue Cats performed in our base FAB 28, although we had done everything we could to control the temperature, it was hard for both the artists and the visitors and there were many some drops of sweat flowed. That didn't spoil the fun and she played fantastic. Of course the original line-up remains the best, but Paul Gaskin turned out to be a worthy replacement for Carlo Edwards, and everyone enjoyed both bands to the fullest.

This yearly rock 'n' roll party was Saturday, July 15 from 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. This year at a new location: the Wim Van Doorne Muziekkiosk at Alberdingk Thijmlaan 1. As always, admission was free. In addition to the old-timers and motorcycles, there was a 50's market, where you could score vintage clothing, LPs and CDs, for example. Bands from the Netherlands and abroad could be heard, including Crystal & Runnin' Wild, Town Rebels and Los Moustros.
