Charlie was earlier humbly honored to receive the THE BUDDY HOLLY LEGACY GUITAR AWARD, a magnificent instrument from The BOARD of The BUDDY HOLLY EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION and his widow MRS. MARIA ELENA HOLLY. He received it just before he arrived at the Wildest Cats In Town R&R Festival at the SUFFOLK seaside resort of Pakefield (Lowestoft) ENGLAND.
“I HAVE LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT BUDDY HOLLY,” he said . “He was, without a doubt in my mind, the greatest R&R innovator of his time!”
